Our Story

Mercato Kitchen & Cocktails draws inspiration from the Italian meaning of its name, “market.” Just as locals in Italy gather at their neighborhood mercato to experience the variety and freshness of local ingredients, Mercato aims to offer that same sense of community and quality.

Since taking ownership in 2015, husband-and-wife team Brian and Keleigh Bivona have made Mercato a true neighborhood staple. Their story began behind the bar—Brian was managing and bartending when he met Keleigh, a fellow server. Their shared passion for hospitality led them to take the reins of the restaurant, and soon after, Brian’s brother, Executive Chef Matt, joined them in the kitchen to reimagine the menu and bring their collective vision to life.

Together, the trio blends Italian and American influences into a menu full of variety and heart—from handmade pastas and wood-fired flatbreads to signature entrées and seasonal specials. Whether you're here for a casual night out or a special celebration, Mercato invites you to relax, enjoy, and become part of the family.
